Brief About The Project:
Tyre, Queen of the seas, currently has almost 20% of the 2000 inhabitants in the old city core engaged in the fishing industry which has been threatened over the years by several factors. The idea behind this project is to give the Fishermen of Tyre a more autonomous life through the “Auction Fish Market”, the “Aquafarm” which serves to encourage better fishing practices, and the “Fishermen Residences”. With the help of concepts like the Raum Plan by Adolf Loos, and the Served and Service Spaces by Louis Khan this project aims to achieve a Heideggerian inspired symbiotic relation between dwelling, working, and leisure.
