Q: "Am I eligible to participate in the Award in the years following my graduation?"
You can only apply for the cycle of the year of your graduation.
Q: "How do I submit my project for an Award cycle?"
Your submission process starts by creating a personal account with a user name and a password. Clicking on "Online Submission" will take you directly to the "Create new account" page. If you have not filled this page before, you will not be able to log in.
Q: "Where can I edit my submission after logging in?"
After logging in, click on the "Edit the submission form and submitted material" tab (the red strip on the top of the page). You can complete your submission by uploading all the required documents to their specified spaces in the submission page.
Note: The Online Submission and the Submission Form will be made available online for participants on June 25, 2016.
Q: "My Bachelor's Degree certificate will not be ready before the submission deadline. Can I still participate?"
You cannot complete your submission process for an Award cycle unless you upload a certified document that shows that you are graduating during the current year. This document, however, does not have to be your Bachelor's Degree certificate. You may provide us with any certified document showing that you have finished your Final Year Project requirements and that you will be receiving your Bachelor's Degree certificate later on.
Q: "Can I participate in the Award if I am a Master’s or a Doctorate Degree-holder?”
Unfortunately, you cannot. The Omrania | CSBE Student Award for Architectural Design is only open to students who have recently completed their Bachelor's Degree.
Q: "I am not a citizen of an Arab country. Can I participate in the Award?”
You do not have to be a citizen of an Arab country in order to participate in the Award, but you should have graduated from a university that is located in an Arab country.
Q: "Can the orientation of the Digital Project Sheet be landscape?"
The only accepted orientation for Digital Project Sheets is portrait. Please refer to the Award cycle's announcemnt for the required dimensions.
Q: "I have created an account, but haven't received a confirmation e-mail yet. Could have I been disqualified?"
Please note that we do not send a confirmation e-mail unless you finish uploading all the required documents on your account. Also, due to the large number of submissions, we might take some time before sending the confirmation e-mail. However, if you do not receive a confirmation e-mail after one week from the submission deadline, then contact us to make sure that your submission was not disqualified.
