Brief About The Project:

Fatimid Cairo is known to have the largest concentration of Islamic monuments in the world, and the area around Al-Moez Street is known officially to be an open museum for the people.
The Shadow Museum embodies a new vision for museum design, where the Museum itself becomes a buffer zone for people to experience its context. In this case the Museum exhibits the historic context of Islamic Cairo, where the Museum becomes the embodiment of the intangible stories within the site that formed the current culture and daily traditions of the area; becoming a Museum that exhibits a Museum.
