The Neighborhood's Cemetery (Reclaiming Cemeteries Inside the City)

Amman’s cemeteries are suffering from being neglected, unplanned. Moreover, the municipality’s only solution was to locate cemeteries outside the city. (Not the solution!) because eventually it will take place inside the city but with massive problem. Urban level: Cemeteries must be integrated within neighborhoods and must act as positive spaces by adding new functions that serves the living (creating sense of social solidarity). Architectural Level: Designing a module (burial units) which will be moved underground while using the roof as public spaces that service the neighborhood's living.
